New big end, clutch, bearings, piston, valves, gaskets, etc.  Magneto rebuilt, generator rebuilt.  All parts professionally painted or powder coated.  All chrome (fender braces, handlebars, bolts, original rims re-chromed.  Stainless steel spokes, hubs polished and center ribs powdercoated light gray to allow for easy future maintenance/cleaning.  All wheel bearings replaced.  All bolts either cad plated or stainless.  New brake shoes.  New Avon tires.  Tank professionally reworked and painted in England.  All new cables, all new footpeg and handlebar rubbers (but after 15 years they are showing little cracks).  Converted to 12 volt system with virtually all new wiring and added 3 fuses), negative earth, with electronic voltage regulator.  All lights and switches work and look great.    There is a sealed 12 volt battery inside the original Lucas battery.

First started and run Sunday, April 27 after being apart since 1993.  Starts easily, sounds great, shifts and brakes great.  It is quite enjoyable to ride.

Includes Amal later Mk3 carburetor in a box (the original is on the bike) that gives it a little better performance, but takes a little away from the vintage look.  Also includes manuals, Velocette books/magazines and all receipts.

There are a few parts that are reproduction:  horn, clutch and brake levers, and tail light.  I have the original tail light but it has a small crack in the lens so installed the reproduction (similar but not the same).  Reproduction horn looks the same as the Clear Hooter original.  Compression release and magneto advance/retard levers are original.  Seat has not been recently recovered and is a little dry but looks and works well.  Speedo indicates 6407 original miles and there is no record I have found to indicate otherwise.  It has less than 1 mile since rebuild.
